**South Texas Amateur Golf Tour: Greater Hill Country Division - Team Event #5 Recap!**

This past Saturday, July 27, the Bandit Golf Club hosted the highly anticipated final team event of the year for the STX Am Tour ~ Greater Hill Country Division. The competition was fierce!

Here’s a quick recap of the thrilling action from Team Best Ball Event #5:

**Championship Flight Highlights:**

- **Gross Winners**: Jeremy Jaramillo and Seth Henry dominated the course with an impressive 7-under par.

- **Net Winners**: Andre Ramirez and Claudia Ramirez showcased outstanding teamwork, securing the top spot.

Both championship flight teams displayed remarkable synergy and strategic play, leading to stellar team scores. Well done!

**First Flight Highlights:**

- **Legends On Top**: The legendary duo, Bob North and O.J. Hernandez, clinched victory with an even-par finish. Their consistency was key as they edged out Dale Beavers and Hunter Patterson by just one shot.

- **Net Winners**: Bill Blake and Rick Hohensee shined with an exceptional 8-under par, narrowly beating Fernando Palos and Timm Blunt by a single stroke.

This event is a DOUBLE POINTS EVENT with DOUBLE Bonuses

Every spot in the point standings reflects onto your starting position in the playoffs. The TOP 48 in GHCD Regular Season Point Standings will be invited to The Playoffs @ TPC San Antonio! EVERY POINT MATTERS!!!

Flight Placement Dictates TEE BOX SELECTION!
***This event will be played with LIFT, CLEAN & PLACE in YOUR OWN FAIRWAY.
- The STX Am Tour will protect players from diviots and minor imperfections in their current fairway for all event in 2024.
***This event will be played with LIFT, CLEAN, RAKE & PLACE in all BUNKERS
- The STX Am Tour will protect players from unraked Bunkers for all event in 2024.
***Your responsibility is to be at the Starters Area when your tee time is called.
***The "NEEDS TO PAY" List, will be located at the starters tent area, located at the check-in area.
****Range Balls are included in your tournament entry fee. The Driving Range will be open for tournament warm-ups.
**** The OFFICIAL SCORING AREA will be located in the banquet area @ The Bandit. All golfers, please promptly turn in your SIGNED OFFICIAL SCORECARD immediately following completion of play.
The OFFICIAL GOLF GENIUS FINAL LEADERBOARD will serve as THE OFFICIAL RESULTS of STX Am Tour ~ GHCD Event #5.

Get ready to experience the thrill of competing on STX Am Tour ~ Greater Hill Country Division!

Modeled after the success of The STX Am Tour ~ Alamo City Golf Trail Division, the Greater Hill Country Division will maintain the same tried-and-true Gross/Net, Flighted format. This ensures that every golfer, regardless of skill level, has an equal opportunity to excel and claim victory at each event.

We are absolutely thrilled about the launch of this expansion, which aims to provide even more access to elite amateur golf competitions for the golfers of the greater San Antonio and Austin region.

The Ultimate Goal: The Greater Hill Country Division will award two automatic team spots to this year’s South Texas Match Play Challenge Team. The 11^th annual South Texas Match Play Challenge will be held at the recently renovated RIVERSIDE GC in November. The STX Am Tour holds a 7-3 series advantage over The Houston Amateur Golf Association.

The STX Am Tour is happy to have GOLF GENIUS LIVE MOBILE SCORING @ The Bandit GC. Golf Genius is a real time scoring app to enhance the tournament atmosphere of The STX Am Tour. Each Golfer will receive a separate email with specific directions for Golf Genius. Please take the time, in advance of your tee time, to download the GOLF GENIUS APP from the app store on your smartphone. Each foursome will get a tutorial on how to use golf genius prior to your tee time.

The STX Am Tour will continue to use paper scorecards as THE OFFICIAL SCORECARD.

The Golf Genius email will contain a GGID CODE for EACH FOURSOME.
One player in the group will enter the scores for the foursome.
This will populate REAL TIME LEADERBOARD and REAL TIME SKINS!

For the 2024 Tour Seasons, the Senior Golfer category will be eligible at 50 years of age. This aligns with the USGA Senior golfer age. All golfers that meet the age requirement, will have the opportunity to play from a reduced yardage set of tees. (Approx. 8-12% reduction)

POINTS - DOUBLE POINTS DISTRIBUTION + Double Bonuses

07/27/2024 ~ 2-person Team BestBall (Four-Ball) is a form of play (stroke play) involving partners where: Two partners compete together as a side (team), with each player playing their own ball tee-to-holeout, and, the TEAM's SCORE for a hole is the lower score of the two partners on that hole. Utilizing one partners score per hole, Gross and Net, for all 18 holes. Gross score and net score may be from the same person. As long as one team member completes the hole, Both team members DO NOT have to complete every hole.

$198 Golf Fee, Cart Fee & Driving Range (Team)
$50 Prize Fund (Team)
$26 Admin Fee (Team)
