Professional Division

***** The South Texas Professional Golf Division is for Golf Professionals, Professional Golfers and Teaching Professionals. NO amateur golfers or other players who want to maintain their amateur status may register or compete in this division. By teeing off in an event within this Division, you are declaring yourself a professional golfer and forfeiting your amateur status.

***** All prize winners are responsible for registering with, and will have on file, a W9 Tax form with the South Texas Professional Golf Division in association with The South Texas Amateur Golf Tour.

***** All events within The South Texas Professional Golf Division will be 18 Holes of INDIVIDUAL STROKE PLAY - GROSS SCORING.

***** Field size for All events within The South Texas Professional Golf Division will be between 18 & 24 Golfers, playing in threesomes.

***** Any withdrawal from an event(s) within The South Texas Professional Golf Division will be subject to a 3.5% "processing fee"

***** All events within The South Texas Professional Golf Division will be on Sunday mornings, and will tee off before the STX AM TOUR Amateur Golfers .

***** Proper golf attire is required for all STX Professional Tournaments. Appropriate dress will consist of slacks or shorts and shirts with collars and sleeves for
Male Professionals.  Blue jeans or denim, collarless t-shirts and tank tops will not be allowed. Female participants must wear slacks, culottes, walking shorts, or golf skirts which constitute acceptable clothing worn by women in connection with participation in professional golf tournaments.

***** Separate Tees – Same Purse Policy.     Female Professionals will play from a yardage approximately equal to 85% of the Male Professional’s yardage. Male Professionals age 50 and over will play from a yardage approximately equal to 95% of the Male Professional’s yardage in tournaments.

***** Prize Money won will be paid out to winners the same day of the event, pending needed paperwork on file.

***** The South Texas Professional Golf Division will utilize GOLF GENIUS REAL TIME SCORING. Golf Genius is a real time scoring app to enhance the tournament atmosphere of The STX Tour. Each Golfer will receive a separate email with specific directions for Golf Genius. Please take the time, in advance of your starting time, to download the GOLF GENIUS APP from the app store on your smartphone. The STX Professional Division will use the paper scorecards as THE OFFICIAL SCORECARD.   The Golf Genius email will contain a GGID CODE for EACH FOURSOME.  One player in the group will enter the scores for the group. This will populate REAL TIME LEADERBOARD.
