Team 9 / 9 - Stroke Play Scoring:

Stroke play scoring, is a type of scoring where a player/team competes against all others in their respective flights, by comparing a total score for one or more rounds. In regular stroke play, you or your team, need to hole out on every hole. Each hole score for every hole in the round is added up to calculate your final score. 

HOLES 1-9 = Scramble :

Both Players tee off on each hole. Select the shot the team wishes to play, and both players hit from that location. Repeating that process until ball is holed. Recording one score for the team per hole.

HOLES 10-18 = Modified Alternate Shot :

Both players hit a tee shot on every hole. The team selects the best shot to play, and THE OTHER player hits that ball from that location. Alternating that process until ball is holed. Record one score for the team per hole. The Ball selected is the ball that MUST BE HOLED. Stroke Play Scoring, Gross and 50% Team Net.

This is a 2.5X POINTS EVENT + DOUBLE FLIGHT BONUSES. The race for a Tour Championship and a coveted spot on The 2026 South Texas Match Play Team continues this SATURDAY @NORTHERN HILLS Golf Course!!!! (175pts to each team member - 1st Place Gross & 163.75pts to each team member - 1st Place Net in each flight)

• Event Check-in, Registration, Skins & To Pay List Opens @ 6:45am @ The First Tee Box. It is the teams responsibility , to register t!, at your published starting time .
• Optional Team Skins will be available at The Starting Area
• Optional Senior Tee Box Selection will be available at The Starting Area
• The 2nd Notice to Players email will be sent, no later than Friday, April 24th, 2026, with more tournament information, Including: Golf Genius Info, prize fund, points distro, Skins, etc....
• NORTHERN HILLS  Driving Range will open at 7:00 am on Tournament Day.

Every spot in the point standings reflects onto your starting position in the playoffs and the TOP 3 in The Spring Season earn an automatic spot on The 2026 STMPC Team.

GOLF GENIUS:

GOLF GENIUS EMAIL TO BE SENT at a LATER TIME.

The STX Am Tour is happy to have GOLF GENIUS LIVE MOBILE SCORING @ Northern Hills.  Golf Genius is a real time scoring app to enhance the tournament atmosphere of The STX Am Tour. Each Golfer will receive a separate email with specific directions for Golf Genius. Please take the time, in advance of your tee time, to download the GOLF GENIUS APP from the app store on your smartphone. Each foursome will get a tutorial on how to use golf genius prior to your tee time.

The STX Am Tour will continue to use paper scorecards as THE OFFICIAL SCORECARD.

• The Golf Genius email will contain a GGID CODE for EACH FOURSOME.
• One player in the group will enter the scores for the foursome.
• This will populate REAL TIME LEADERBOARD and REAL TIME SKINS!
• The paper scorecard and the digital Golf Genius scorecard will act as each others double check. In addition, the paper scorecard must be signed by multiple members of the pairing, and turned into the scoring tent.

*STX AM TOUR - 2026 SENIOR AGE :

For the 2026 Tour Seasons, the Senior Golfer category will be eligible at 50 years of age. This aligns with the USGA Senior golfer age. All golfers that meet the age requirement, will have the opportunity to play from a reduced yardage set of tees. (Approx. 6-11% reduction)

 

*STX AM TOUR Tee Markers :

The 2026 STX AM Tour ~ Alamo City Golf Trail Division will utilize (up to) 4 sets of TOUR TEE MARKERS at each event. BLACK, BLUE, GREEN & WHITE.

• *The BLACK TOUR TEES will use the course rating of the Trail course BLUE Tees.
• *The BLUE TOUR TEES will use a proprietary rating of 33% less than the course BLUE rating.
• *The GREEN TOUR TEES will use a proprietary rating of 33% more than the course WHITE rating.
• *The WHITE TOUR TEES will use the course rating of the Trail course WHITE Tees.
