Mission del Lago Delivers a Nail-Biter
Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 • Individual Stroke Play • 1.5X Points Multiplier
If you like red numbers and drama down the stretch, Mission del Lago was the event for you. Every single flight came down to the last hole — and two of them came down to a scorecard playoff. The theme of the day was simple: oh my god, was it close.
Course conditions were solidly above average all day, and a big tip of the cap goes to Clint Baack and his golf operations staff at Mission del Lago — fantastic from start to finish.
Bart Wilson — 3-Under 69
Bogeys on 1 and 4 to birdies on 7, 9, 11, 13, 14 & 15. Bart caught fire and never looked back.
Bart Wilson opened shaky with bogeys on 1 and 4, but caught fire down the stretch — birdies on 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, and 15 — to seize the lead and never look back. A late blemish on 18 from Brandon Bradosky sealed it for Wilson at 3-under 69. Bradosky then had to survive a scorecard playoff with Matt Pawly just to hold on to 2nd.

Right back to a one-shot dogfight. DJ Burke edged Dale Beavers on the gross side, and Kendall Murray held off Parker Rickert by a single stroke on net — with both DJ and Kendall matching each other stride for stride at -10 through the round.

The tightest flight of the day, top to bottom. Brad Hadden held off Jakob Crabtree by one, who held off Jason Williams by one. And then things got wild for 3rd place gross — five players tied at 86, forcing a five-way scorecard playoff that Jason Williams came out on top of. On the net side, Jonathan Yarbrough ran away with the win at a scorching -12 60, but 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all tied at -9 63, sending Magdaleno Mares, Marco Gonzalez, and Carlos Carpentier into their own three-way scorecard playoff.

GOLF GENIUS:
GOLF GENIUS EMAIL TO BE SENT at a LATER TIME.
The STX Am Tour is happy to have GOLF GENIUS LIVE MOBILE SCORING @ MISSION DEL LAGO. Golf Genius is a real time scoring app to enhance the tournament atmosphere of The STX Am Tour. Each Golfer will receive a separate email with specific directions for Golf Genius. Please take the time, in advance of your tee time, to download the GOLF GENIUS APP from the app store on your smartphone. Each foursome will get a tutorial on how to use golf genius prior to your tee time.
The STX Am Tour will continue to use paper scorecards as THE OFFICIAL SCORECARD.
- The Golf Genius email will contain a GGID CODE for EACH FOURSOME.
- One player in the group will enter the scores for the foursome.
- This will populate REAL TIME LEADERBOARD and REAL TIME SKINS!
- The paper scorecard and the digital Golf Genius scorecard will act as each others double check. In addition, the paper scorecard must be signed by multiple members of the pairing, and turned into the scoring tent.

For the 2026 Tour Seasons, the Senior Golfer category will be eligible at 50 years of age. This aligns with the USGA Senior golfer age. All golfers that meet the age requirement, will have the opportunity to play from a reduced yardage set of tees. (Approx. 6-11% reduction)

The 2026 STX AM Tour ~ Alamo City Golf Trail Division will utilize (up to) 4 sets of TOUR TEE MARKERS at each event. BLACK, BLUE, GREEN & WHITE.
- *The BLACK TOUR TEES will use the course rating of the Trail course BLUE Tees.
- *The BLUE TOUR TEES will use a proprietary rating of 33% less than the course BLUE rating.
