This event is a DOUBLE POINTS EVENT with Double Team Bonuses
Every spot in the point standings reflects onto your starting position in the playoffs. The TOP 72 in GHCD Regular Season Point Standings will be invited to The Playoffs @ TPC San Antonio! EVERY POINT MATTERS!!!
03/17/24 ~ 2-person Team 666 - Best Ball, Scramble & Modified Alternate Shot
*Best Ball Holes 1-6 - Both players play their own ball from tee to green. Recording the one better score for the team per hole. Gross and Net.
*Scramble Holes 7-12 - Both Players tee off on each hole. Select the shot the team wishes to play, and both players hit from that location. Repeating that process until ball is holed. Recording one score for the team per hole.
*Modified Alternate Shot Holes 13-18 - Both players hit a tee shot on every hole. The team selects the best shot to play, and THE OTHER player hits that ball from that location. Alternating that process until ball is holed. Record one score for the team per hole.

- ***Your responsibility is to be at the Starters Area when your tee time is called.

Modeled after the success of The STX Am Tour ~ Alamo City Golf Trail Division, the Greater Hill Country Division will maintain the same tried-and-true Gross/Net, Flighted format. This ensures that every golfer, regardless of skill level, has an equal opportunity to excel and claim victory at each event.
We are absolutely thrilled about the launch of this expansion, which aims to provide even more access to elite amateur golf competitions for the golfers of the greater San Antonio and Austin region.
The Ultimate Goal: The Greater Hill Country Division will award two automatic team spots to this year’s South Texas Match Play Challenge Team. The 11th annual South Texas Match Play Challenge will be held at the recently renovated RIVERSIDE GC in November. The STX Am Tour holds a 7-3 series advantage over The Houston Amateur Golf Association.

GOLF GENIUS:
GOLF GENIUS EMAIL TO BE SENT at a LATER TIME.
The STX Am Tour is happy to have GOLF GENIUS LIVE MOBILE SCORING @ Kissing Tree GC. Golf Genius is a real time scoring app to enhance the tournament atmosphere of The STX Am Tour. Each Golfer will receive a separate email with specific directions for Golf Genius. Please take the time, in advance of your tee time, to download the GOLF GENIUS APP from the app store on your smartphone. Each foursome will get a tutorial on how to use golf genius prior to your tee time.
The STX Am Tour will continue to use paper scorecards as THE OFFICIAL SCORECARD.
- The Golf Genius email will contain a GGID CODE for EACH FOURSOME.
- One player in the group will enter the scores for the foursome.
- This will populate REAL TIME LEADERBOARD and REAL TIME SKINS!

For the 2024 Tour Seasons, the Senior Golfer category will be eligible at 50 years of age. This aligns with the USGA Senior golfer age. All golfers that meet the age requirement, will have the opportunity to play from a reduced yardage set of tees. (Approx. 8-12% reduction)
