2-Person Team Best Ball • Double Points + Double Bonuses • Cedar Creek Golf Course • July 5, 2026
Independence Day weekend golf doesn't get much better than this. 80 golfers, 40 teams, and three flights of Team Best Ball descended on Cedar Creek Golf Course for Summer Event #3 — and with Double Points AND Double Bonuses on the line, the standings were always going to look completely different by Sunday night. And they certainly do!
Really awesome job by the Alamo City Golf Trail and the entire Cedar Creek staff. Course conditions were fantastic on a beautiful hot summer day, and the maintenance team had the property dialed in for tournament day. A big shoutout to course manager Greg Richter and the golf operations team — the hospitality and customer service were outstanding from the first tee to the last putt. A really cool day at Cedar Creek.
Down to the Wire — Championship Flight Net. The clubhouse was locked into the scoreboard all afternoon as Championship Flight Net came down to the very last holes. Micah Carroll and Seth Henry birdied 17 AND 18 to win by a single stroke — a finish that had everyone watching from the porch. This is exactly what makes the STX Am Tour different: real tournament pressure, in your own flight, against players at your own level, every single time out.
One Shot Apart, Four Deep — First Flight Gross. If you want proof of how tight the competition really is inside a flight, look no further. First through fourth place in First Flight Gross were separated by exactly one stroke each — 1-over, 2-over, 3-over, 4-over. Four teams. Four strokes. That's as close as it gets, and it happens over and over on Tour.
Settled in a Playoff — Second Flight Gross. Willie Nelson and Mike Dermanuelian needed a scorecard playoff to take down Rolando DeLaGarza and Parker Rickert for the Second Flight Gross title. Another flight, another finish that came down to the smallest of margins. Whatever flight you're in, the golf is real and the pressure is real.
Double Points shook the leaderboard from top to bottom, and there's a new name at #1. Sean Vidal — the tour GOAT and a living legend on the STX Am Tour — takes over the top spot in the summer standings after his Championship Flight Gross win. Vidal now sits at 445 points and leads the way with the summer season heating up.
Double Points are in the books and the standings are shuffled. Every event, every point matters on the road to the STMPC. See you at the next event!

This event is a 2.0X POINTS EVENT with Double Flight Bonuses (150pts to each team member = 1st Place Gross)
Every spot in the point standings reflects onto your starting position in the playoffs and the TOP 3 in The Summer Season earn an automatic spot on The 2026 STMPC Team. EVERY POINT MATTERS!!!

GOLF GENIUS:
GOLF GENIUS EMAIL TO BE SENT at a LATER TIME.
The STX Am Tour is happy to have GOLF GENIUS LIVE MOBILE SCORING @ Cedar Creek. Golf Genius is a real time scoring app to enhance the tournament atmosphere of The STX Am Tour. Each Golfer will receive a separate email with specific directions for Golf Genius. Please take the time, in advance of your tee time, to download the GOLF GENIUS APP from the app store on your smartphone. Each foursome will get a tutorial on how to use golf genius prior to your tee time.
The STX Am Tour will continue to use paper scorecards as THE OFFICIAL SCORECARD.
- The Golf Genius email will contain a GGID CODE for EACH FOURSOME.
- One player in the group will enter the scores for the foursome.
- This will populate REAL TIME LEADERBOARD and REAL TIME SKINS!
- The paper scorecard and the digital Golf Genius scorecard will act as each others double check. In addition, the paper scorecard must be signed by multiple members of the pairing, and turned into the scoring tent.

For the 2026 Tour Seasons, the Senior Golfer category will be eligible at 50 years of age. This aligns with the USGA Senior golfer age. All golfers that meet the age requirement, will have the opportunity to play from a reduced yardage set of tees. (Approx. 6-11% reduction)
*STX AM TOUR Tee Markers :
The 2026 STX AM Tour ~ Alamo City Golf Trail Division will utilize (up to) 4 sets of TOUR TEE MARKERS at each event. BLACK, BLUE, GREEN & WHITE.
- *The BLACK TOUR TEES will use the course rating of the Trail course BLUE Tees.
- *The BLUE TOUR TEES will use a proprietary rating of 33% less than the course BLUE rating.
- *The GREEN TOUR TEES will use a proprietary rating of 33% more than the course WHITE rating.
- *The WHITE TOUR TEES will use the course rating of the Trail course WHITE Tees.
